1994 – 1995
Named after the road where our directors lived, Connaught Windows was created all the way back in 1994 in Connaught Crescent. Since our inception, we’ve developed an extensive range of windows, doors, and conservatories in a huge array of styles and colours. Whether you are an installer for modern or traditional properties, here at Connaught Windows, we’re sure to have something for you. After our initial foundation in February, we moved into our first factory in August 1994. We quickly outgrew it, however, and moved into our second factory almost exactly a year later.
1996 – 1999
In 1996, we experienced incredible growth, and our fleet of delivery vehicles increased! We had entirely outgrown our first two factories and made the move into a new 5000 Sq ft factory. During this fast growth period, we even became Glass Fabricator of the Year runner-ups in October 1998. After a brief stint in this 5000 Sw ft factory, in June 1999, we moved once again into a 12,000 Sq ft factory.
2001 – 2004
Our factory soon began to fill up as our production rate rose, and before we knew it, in 2001, we had completely outgrown our factory again! After expanding into the adjacent factory of 15,000 Sq ft, we began manufacturing our own sealed glass units. Additionally, in 2001, we began exporting beyond the UK to places such as France, Spain, Indonesia, and even Hawaii! We now have an expansive range of glass, and all our products are fully customisable, with an extensive selection of hardware types. Our hardware accessories are sourced from reliable suppliers, so you can have total peace of mind when you invest in Connaught Windows. We have an extensive range of colours and finishes for both PVCu and aluminium, making our windows and doors an excellent choice for homeowners who need a low-maintenance alternative to timber.
2005 – 2014
Then in February 2005, we made our move to Wallisdown, Bournemouth, our current factory today! As we settled into this new factory, we began manufacturing Deceuninck uPVC products in 2006, and then in December 2009, we made huge leaps in our capabilities by installing an automated sealed unit line. As time continued to pass, we celebrated our 20th anniversary in business in 2014. As part of our continuing commitment to enhance our product range, we’ve recently announced new additions to our manufacturing line via our procurement of new machines that will further increase our production rates and lead times.
2023 – Today
In 2023, we achieved a gold CMS license for PAS 24 and made massive upgrades to our welding department with 4 new welders. Now in 2024, we’re proud to be celebrating our 30-year anniversary!
Over the last 30 years, Connaught Windows has become a proud pillar of the local community!
